The common story of the group Aqua goes back up in 1989 during the recording of the soundtrack of the film Frække Frida og of frygtløse spioner.

The group Joyspeed is born. Claus Norréen and Søren Rasted would take care of the production of the group, René Dif would be the rapper and Lene Grawford Nystrøm, the Norwegian singer recruited by the group, would be the main singer.
They sign a contract with a small Swedish record company in 1994 and bring out their first single Itsy Bitsy which does not know the success although the song is based around a popular bed song. The single disappears from Swedish backs one week after it's released. Four members of the group, disappointed, break their contract with the independent label but their record company would do a second single. In the debuts of Joyspeed, another member of the group was present. Beck Luween had begin his carriere by playing the triangle for the group, but has them quits some years later, because is calling at four corner of the world.
